Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using SaathChalo, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

SaathChalo is operated by Priyanshu Khandelwal (“we”, “us”, “our”) and is available at saathchalo.co.in.

You must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be a resident of India
• Have a valid Indian mobile number
• Not be previously suspended from SaathChalo

SaathChalo is a commute-coordination platform. We:

• Help you find people going the same way to work
• Provide in-app chat to coordinate rides
• Track impact (CO₂ saved, rides shared)

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information during registration
• Not impersonate other people
• Treat other users with respect
• Honor ride commitments you make
• Not use the app for commercial transportation
• Not share your account with others
• Report safety concerns immediately

You must NOT:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Create fake profiles or misrepresent yourself
• Use the app for commercial ride-hailing
• Scrape or copy user data
• Attempt to hack or disrupt the service
• Use the app while driving
• Share inappropriate content in chat

Violations may result in immediate account suspension.

SaathChalo provides safety features including:

• Women-Only matching pool
• Emergency contact alerts
• SOS button
• User ratings and reporting

However, you acknowledge that:

• We cannot guarantee the safety of any commute
• You share rides at your own risk
• We encourage you to use all safety features
• Always inform someone you trust about your ride

After each ride, users may rate each other. You agree:

• To rate honestly and fairly
• Not to use ratings for harassment
• That ratings affect your visibility on the platform
• Accounts with ratings below 2.5 may be suspended

You own content you post in chat. By posting, you grant us a license to store and display it to your matched commute buddy.

You must not send:

• Sexually explicit content
• Threats or harassment
• Spam or promotional content
• Personal information of third parties

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these terms
• You receive 3 or more reports from different users
• Your rating falls below 2.5 after 10 rides
• We detect fraudulent activity

You may delete your account anytime from the Safety section in the app.

The SaathChalo name, logo, and app are owned by us. You may not use our branding without written permission.

SaathChalo is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted service
• That you will find commute matches
• The accuracy of other users' information
• The safety of any commute arrangement

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law:

• We are not liable for any commute-related incidents
• Our liability is limited to ₹1,000 in any case
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages

Any disputes shall be resolved:

• First through good-faith negotiation
• Then through arbitration under Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996
• Jurisdiction: Courts of Delhi, India

These terms are governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

We may update these terms. We will notify you via:

• In-app notification
• Email (if provided)

Continued use after changes means acceptance.
